Show both pieces AVAILABLE

Under your pieces you always show the pieces that have been downloaded as a graphical display but you don't show the pieces that are available to be downloaded. So person doesn't know if the file is completely available or will never be able to be downloaded. Have a graphical representation of all the available pieces so person can abort the file.

That's a good idea but it might be better to do as uTorrent does... Split "Peers" to show as "Seeds" & "Leechers". Then you'd know how many peers are actually seeding the full torrent.
