It is impossible to add a .torrent files to the download, but only a magnet link.

It can definitely be done. Just open the wrench menu (three stacked bars on top left) > File browser.
Now navigate to the directory where your .torrent file is located and tap it. It will open the ttorrent download popup to choose files/folders.
